Dr. Abrams began her career in healthcare when she graduated from medical school from the Pavlov Institute (former Soviet Union) with high honors and completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in anesthesia and intensive care. She came to the US, arriving in Seattle Washington in 1996. Dr. Abrams confirmed her U.S. medical diploma in 1999 successfully passing the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam and Clinical Skills Assessment exam. She went on to study naturopathy and herbal medicine at Bastyr University, and graduated with a Doctorate in Natural Medicine (ND) and a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSOAM). Dr. Abrams is the Medical Director of Water’s Edge Natural Medicine. She blends traditional western medicine with naturopathic remedies, acupuncture and Oriental medicine to offer patients safe and gentle therapies for hormone imbalances, weight loss, digestive problems, immune deficiencies, and much more. In addition to helping patients at Water’s Edge, Dr. Abrams holds an adjunct faculty position at Bastyr University. Water’s Edge Natural Medicine offers highly personalized naturopathic health care, gently treating disease at the root cause and strengthening the body’s own innate ability to heal. They work closely with patients to develop a treatment plan customized to meet their specific needs and goals in order to help optimize current and future health.
